This week end project with my son
How to make your kid busy – calming tips for hyperactive children – part 1
Study material – Where, on, in under, behind, have, has, I, You, They, We, He, She, It
Draw a chart with interesting stuff and ask the kid to color it. First they will doodle, never mind it. Slowly teach them to colour within the picture. Paste the chart in the door/wall.
From this chart I taught him how to color shading with crayons. He likes pink color. In the above, you might see an apple, the sun, the grass etc… Whenever he had mood to color he colored that picture. We never taught anything in the above picture. Every evening my appartment kids come to my house to play. That time they all will read these thing together. Some times he himself will stand in front of this poster and start reading it.
To create this poster I refered few school books and story books . This poster taught him
- The ball is on the mat.
- The ball is in the basket.
- The ball is under the table.
- The ball is near Rita.
- The ball is behind Alan.
- The ball is in front of Alan.
To teach kids about the word “Where”
Where is the book?
The book is on the table.
Where is the pen?
The pen is in the ink-pot.
Where is the cat?
The cat is under the table.
Where is the dog?
The dog is behind the boy.
Where is the cat?
The cat is in front of Caty.
Important Notes: When we are preparing a chart like this, ask the kid of his/her interest.
- Friends name
- their favorite color
- their favorite pet animals and other animals
- their favorite toys and other objects and use these names in the chart.
