Last Sunday, we were on the way to my uncle’s house who got transfer to Chennai from Coimbatore. We went to house to
- fix the cot
- fix the fan
- moving the things to the right location etc,.
On the way, my two Wheeler got punctured. So we found a shop just opposite to the Pandian Super Market, UTI bank, Madippakkam.
The mechanic was busy in repairing a punctured tyre. A boy, a man along with an unknown man were waiting. A lady came with her bicycle came and told the mechanic to fix a screw, since it was a small problem. So the mechanic fixed it.
People in our country don’t like to / don’t know to wait in a queue.
You can also see the same thing in Reliance, Super Marts, Spencer, More.com etc,. They will buy one / two items and they will directly go to the boy / girl (like a bull 😦 ) who is putting the bill. They never thought of a queue standing for several minutes. They will not ask or say excuse to the man/lady standing in the queue.
Another interesting thing also happened there in the mechanic shop. One guy with full booze came there and started his conversation with my son
Booze 1: “Which class are you studying?”
My son: “1st Standard”.
He didn’t understand the 1st standard so my son showed him his finger as one.
Booze 1: Study Well. You should not stand in front of others. Others should stand in front of you. At least 10 people should stand in front of you.
Another guy with the same old condition joined that interesting conversation.
Booze 2: He (my son) know how to study. You just shut your mouth. He is a “Gilly” (கில்லி – a talented person in Chennai Tamil) in his studies.
Booze 1: I just told him.
Booze 2: What U are saying? How much do you had?
Booze 1: Half a bottle.
Booze 2: “I had half a bottle of RUM and a beer. But I am steady. Look at me, and tell me how you really drunk?
Booze 1: A cutting (90 ml) Anna.
Booze 2: How much ever we had, that is not a matter. But we have to be steady.
Really they are good but situations changed their lives.
