Lalbagh Botanical Garden, Bangalore, Karnataka

My dad brought us (Myself and my brother Jacob Inbaneson) Lalbagh Botanical Garden, Bangalore, Karnataka in our school tour. That time I was amazed about the tall trees …. every where green grasses …. chill climate … After a long time a couple of week back I went there with my brother in law. After we finished our sight seeing … after we had a average meal in front of the garden … I took this pic.

More. foy you at Madippakkam, Chennai. Three cows had an unexpected snacks.

Last evening I was waiting near “Paathala Vinayagar Temple”, Madipakkam to receive my son from school. A man came out of the More dot for you – super market and placed a packed grapes box and a carry bag full of at least 10 kg rice. I was noticing it, and wondering if that bag has vegetables means … definitely there will be a problem … because that complete madipakkam keelkattalai stretch is full of cows. My son’s school van came ..I crossed the road and helped him to get down … it took less then 15 seconds …God only knows from which side these cows came in to picture …. they were having an unexpected rice … snacks … I informed the gatekeeper of that store … he came there with the man who bought that rice .. they struggled a lot to save some rice from those cow .. there were managed to save 25% of the rice …

Note: Don’t leave anything in St.Thamos Mount – Keelkattalai bus route. Beware of cows.

Back to Chennai. Almost 20 days of my official trip ended today and I reached our Chennai in Sadapthy express from Bangalore. Due to some maintenance work .. the complete Central station has started diverting all the trains to Egmore.

Last night itself, I cleared my bill with travels quarters, booked the taxi, and packed my luggage. And in the evening we attended our friends reception in Fortune hotels located opposite to SAP labs, Bangalore … we greeted the new pair and had a good dinner. Morning I gave a lift to one of my friend to Bangalore City Junction.

I will be writing on this 20 days Bangalore life … soon …

Alan is asking the shopkeeper to give him one pack of rice, so that he will place that in the digital weighing machine and check its wight. It's his favorite thing ... what ever you saw in the table .. those sample rice containers / rice packs / sample packs .. he will try weigh one by one ... keelkattalai rice shop, Chennai. And this grandpa is his good friend too ...

South Indian women are very particular in buying a rice …. The problems I faced in past, … after boiled the rise .. they(mum/wife/aunts/sister)  might be piling n number of complaints …

complaints are like

• The smell is not good
• The color is not good
• Taking long time to cook
• The quality is not good
• The taste is not good
• The look is not good ..I mean the brightness

After all these struggle, I learned a lesson …

If you are planing to buy rice as a pack its better to

• Buy 1 kg / half a kg rice first
• Cook it and taste it
• Ask your family members opinion (Especially your wife)
• Get their approval
• Go to the same shop on the same day itself
• Ask the shopkeeper to give you the rice from the same bag
• store it in a proper container

I faced the problem of buying rice, especially idly rice …. so many times … and found this way …. to escape from scoldings … or murmurs ..

If you are coming to Bangalore by train (Sadapthi Express), then get down at the Bangalore junction and just walk along with the co-passengers … once you reach the entrance there will be a subway which helps you to cross the busy road … and it leads you to the bus stand … over bridge … go to platform no 17. you will see nice looking volvo buses in red colors …bus number 335E …..you could comfortably reach ITPL in A/C bus just for 45 Rs.

Garuda Mall, Bangalore

I and my brother-in-law went to this “Garuda Mall”, Bangalore (last Sunday). I bought a a sony ericsson charger in a sony showroom. I went to a book shop … I was very big and it has most of the new arrivals … We just keep on looking at different apparel showrooms … I hope there is wast difference in the pricing when we compare with Chennai apparel showrooms ….

சதாப்தி எக்ஸ்பிரஸ்| Sathapthi Express
கடந்த ஞாயிற்றுக் கிழமை சென்னையில் இருந்து பெங்களூர் வரை சதாப்தி எக்ஸ்பிரஸ் ரயிலில் பயணம் செய்தேன். ஆபீஸ் வேலை காரணமாக பாத்து நாட்கள் பெங்களூர் வந்துள்ளேன். காலை 6 மணிக்கு சென்னையில் இருந்து சதாப்தி எக்ஸ்பிரஸ் புறப்பட்டது.

ஒரு பிஸ்கட் பாக்கெட் மற்றும் இரண்டு சாக்கிலேட் கொடுத்தார்கள். சிறிது நேரத்திலேயே காபி அல்லது  தேநீர் இரண்டும் வழங்கினார்கள். இன்னும் சிறிது நேரம் கழித்து மினரல் வாட்டர் (அக்குவா பீநா ) ஒரு பாட்டில் தந்தார்கள். இன்னும் சிறிது நேரம் கழித்து காலை உணவு பரிமாறினார்கள். பிரட் மற்றும் ஜாம், வெண் பொங்கல், வடை, சாம்பார், சட்டினி … இவை அனைத்தும் காலை உணவில் அடங்கும். பின்னும் அவ்வப்போது … காபி / டீ வேண்டுமா? என அடிக்கடி விசாரித்தார்கள் …

சுடு தண்ணீர் கேட்ட பயணிகளுக்கு சுடு தண்ணீர் வழங்கினார்கள். ஒரு சில பயணிகள் எழுந்து நடப்பது  பின்பு உட்காருவதுமாக  இருந்தார்கள் . ஒரு பயணி ” காசு வாங்குறாங்க , ஆனா குளிர் சாதனப் பெட்டி வேலை   செய்யுதான்னே தெரியல ” என்று புலம்பினார்.

பெங்களூருக்கு விமானத்தில் சென்று, பின்பு நகருக்குள் வர ஒரு/இரண்டு மணி நேரம் பிடித்து …கஷ்டப்பட்டு வருவதை பார்க்கிலும் இந்த ரயிலில்  நான்கு மணி இருபது நிமிசத்தில்
வருவது நலம்.

குடிக்க தண்ணீர்  கூட தராத/கிடைக்காத, குறுகலான இருக்கைகள், காலதாமதங்கள் அடிக்கடி நிகழும்  விமான வழி நல்லதா?  அல்லது அகலமான இருக்கைகள், குளிர் சாதனா வசதி, மின்சாரவசதி (மொபைல் மற்றும் லேப்டோப்கள் சார்ஜ் செய்ய ), சற்று நடந்து செல்ல இடம், சைவ / அசைவ உணவு (உணவு உங்களுடைய டிகேட் விலையில் உள்ளடக்கம்), பெரும்பாலும் கால தாமதங்கள் இல்லாத பிரயாணம் நல்லதா?

Last Sunday I traveled from Chennai to Bangalore in Sathapthi Express
for an official trip (at least 10 day in Bangalore). I liked the journey very much because first time I saw some southern railway’s employee … treating passengers as a friend … They served biscuits and chocolates first .. then they served tea / coffee to all the passengers … then a bottle of mineral water (Aquafina) … then the a good breakfast .. bread and jam … ven pongal … vadai .. saambar & chatni … butter … After a while again they started to serve tea / coffee again … they helped some passengers who asked the for hot water …

They randomly gave a feedback for to passengers to ask about their services .. some of the interesting questions are …

1. Do you faced any water problem?
2. Do you faced any electrical problem?
3. Do you saw a rat?
4. Do you find any cockroach?
5. write your comments

So wrote a comment that the power plug point near my seat was not working proper … one of the staff came and told me .. today itself we rectify the fault .. after that train reaches Bangalore.  … Nice initiative … hats off to Southern Railways ..

Instead of traveling in flight from Chennai to Bangalore … It took only 4 hours and 15 minutes to reach Bangalore. It you are traveling in flight … you need 1 hour in Chennai airport … flying 45 min … reach the city may take 2/3 hours … in busy hours … Is better to travel in this train ,,, its my personal opinion.
