கடந்த ஞாயிற்றுக் கிழமை சென்னையில் இருந்து பெங்களூர் வரை சதாப்தி எக்ஸ்பிரஸ் ரயிலில் பயணம் செய்தேன். ஆபீஸ் வேலை காரணமாக பாத்து நாட்கள் பெங்களூர் வந்துள்ளேன். காலை 6 மணிக்கு சென்னையில் இருந்து சதாப்தி எக்ஸ்பிரஸ் புறப்பட்டது.
ஒரு பிஸ்கட் பாக்கெட் மற்றும் இரண்டு சாக்கிலேட் கொடுத்தார்கள். சிறிது நேரத்திலேயே காபி அல்லது  தேநீர் இரண்டும் வழங்கினார்கள். இன்னும் சிறிது நேரம் கழித்து மினரல் வாட்டர் (அக்குவா பீநா ) ஒரு பாட்டில் தந்தார்கள். [...]

டிக்கெட் வங்கிக் கொண்டு உள்ளே சென்ற நான் பிரமித்துப் போனேன். அத்தனை யானைகள் அழகான ஒரு சிறைய கோயிலைச் சுற்றி நின்றுகொண்டிருந்தன. ஒவ்வொரு யானை அருகிலும் ஒரு யானைப் பாகன் நின்றுகொண்டிருந்தான் அல்லது யானையின் மீத உட்கார்ந்துகொண்டிருந்தான்.
