மதுரை நகர பேருந்துகளில் நடக்கும் நகைச்சுவையான நிகழ்ச்சிகளுக்கு அளவே கிடையாது.
இன்று காலை தபால் தந்தி நகர் பேருந்தில் இரண்டு அமெரிக்கன் கல்லூரி மாணவர்களைச் சந்தித்தேன். ஒரு மாணவன் எனக்கு உதவ நினைத்து, ஒரு சுமையை தனது காலுக்கு கிழே இழுத்து வைத்தார்.
அங்கு வந்த நடுத்துனர், ஏன் சுமையை உனது மடியில் வைக்க வேண்டியதுதானே? ஏதாவது ஒரு உருப்படியான வேலை செய்யலாம் இல்லையா? என்று சொன்னார்.

ரயிலில் பிரயாணம் செய்வதென்றால் ஏன் மகனுக்கு மிகவும் பிடிக்கும். மதுரைக்குப் போகிரோம் என்று சொன்னாலே மிகவும் சந்தோசம் அவனுக்கு. அவனுடைய பிரயாணத்திற்கு தேவையான பொருட்கள்
